The pattern is based on an hexagon complexity and therefore on its symmetry. Each set of hexagons are placed next to each other in order to create a frequency.
In order to analyse and define the rule behind the pattern, I isolated the hexagons
and then I examined the geometry. Each set is consisted by eight hexagons. Each hexagon is combined by a set of hexagon in its interior. The six edges of every hexagon are attached on the centre of each vertices of the exterior hexagon. Every set is attached next to another on the left and right edges.
